Solar Lantern
The
number of working hours in the life of a human being depends on
the availability of light. In the early times our days began at
sunrise and ended with sunset. When man could produce light from
fire and heat, as and when desired, the available time in the day
increased. Thus, we can now continue working even after sunset.
In
the developed regions of the world, light is made available using
electricity. However, the people from the under developed regions
are not so fortunate. They do not have access to electricity and
hence are handicapped in the darkness.
Sun
is available all through the world and is abundant. Of course, the
energy from the sun is also free. Solar PV modules are used to harness
this energy and convert it into electricity. This is then used to
charge battery. Further, the battery can now be employed to power
any desire application. This is a circuit completely away from the
main electric grid.
EnergieSolar
has developed Solar Lanterns. The Solar Lantern is a stand-alone
solar photovoltaic system where the lantern operates for a stipulated
time, every day. The first is solar module and the second is the
lantern, comprising of one compact fluorescent light, a battery
and electronics with inverter, charge, over-charge controller, over-discharge
controller.
This
lantern is ideal for use in residence, office, shops, remote area,
farms, project and construction sites, in camping etc. It can also
be used as emergency lighting in case of power failure. Our lanterns
are very compact and durable units. They available in four models.
